Day 1: Tel Aviv Wed. 10 Oct 2018
Morning arrival at Ben Gurion Airport where we will be met by our Israeli guide who will accompany us during our entire stay in Israel.
Start our tour of Old Jaffa and modern Tel Aviv.
Drive to Jaffa and visit the artistic colony, the old port, the house of Simon the tanner where Peter had his vision. visit the new visitors center and enjoy the multimedia show called "the Jaffa tales". end our tour at the St. Peter's Church commemorating the appearance of God to St. Peter.
Continue to Neve Tzedek the first historic quarter of Tel Aviv, from there to the Carmel Market where we will also taste the local Falafel pita sandwich.
Before head to our hotel we will pass via the Rabin square.
Transfer to you hotel in Tel Aviv .
Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tiberias Thu. 11 Oct 2018
The Road to Galilee , Joppa , Megiddo –Mt. Tabor - Jordan River Baptism Site
This morning we will visit the old town of Jaffa (Biblical Joppa ) we will visit the Artist Colony , the home of Simon the Tanner and the St. Peter Church commemorating the vision St Peter had in Joppa . We will see the old port where Jonah boarded the ship to Ninveh and King Solomon imported Cider trees from Lebanon to build the Temple In Jerusalem. Now we will drive north along the Mediterranean coast and will visit Caesarea, where Gentiles first heard the Good News from Peter and were baptized. See the Roman Amphitheatre and aqueduct! Then we’ll journey on to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah hid from King Ahab and also fought the 400 false Baal Prophets. Drive to Megiddo, where archaeologists have unearthed 20 levels of civilization. Megiddo is also known as Biblical Armageddon. From here up hill to Mt Tabor tradition tells us this is the Mount of the transfiguration of Christ, we will take special taxis to go uphill. From here we will enjoy the fantastic view of the entire valley. Continue our tour with a visit to the Jordan River Baptismal site. We will have dinner and overnight , Tiberias –Sea Of Galilee .
Day 3: Tiberias Fri. 12 Oct 2018
Nazareth – Cana
Start the day with a visit to Cana , site of the first miracle where our Lord have converted water to wine .Continue to Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus, where we visit the Nazareth Great Basilica of the Annunciation , we will visit Joseph work shop and Mary’s well . More in Nazareth we will see the Synagogue Church and the amazing view from Mt. Precipice. Next is a visit to Zippori the home town of Mary’s family and where we will visit the most fascinating ancient Mosaic floors , we will meet the Mona Lisa of the Galilee !! Return to our Galilee hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Tiberias Sat. 13 Oct 2018
Capernaum, Dan, Caesarea Philippi & Mount of Beatitudes
Following breakfast, our morning travels take us to Tel Dan ( Biblical Laish ) here we will see the ancient Altar Caesarea Philippi, site of Peter’s Confession. Drive to Bethsaida and visit the ruins of this fishermen village from Christ era. On to Capernaum to visit the ruins of an ancient synagogue and Peter’s home. here we will also stop for special St. Peter's fish lunch. Then we travel on to the site of the multiplication of loaves and fishes and the Mount of the Beatitudes overlooking the Sea where our guide will reenact Jesus’ famous "Sermon on the Mount." A relaxing cruise on the Sea of Galilee with easy viewing of the nearby Golan Heights brings to life the experiences of the fishermen disciples and a conclusion to a wonderful day. Return to our Galilee hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Jerusalem Sun. 14 Oct 2018
The Road to Jerusalem
From this overview you will be able to have a valuable lesson in the geographic layout of Jesus' early ministry. Next we travel southward to Beit-Shean/Scythopolis, the most magnificent archeological site in Israel, located at the strategic juncture of the Jezreel and Jordan valleys. Like Jericho, it has been almost continuously occupied throughout history. After defeating Saul and his sons on Mt. Gilboa, the Philistines hanged their bodies on the walls of Beit-Shean. (1 Sam 31:10-12) Archaeologists have uncovered a huge number of ruins of the Roman/Byzantine Scythopolis. From here we travel along Mt Gilboa to the Gideon Spring in this biblical site Gideon have chosen his best worriers to go and fight the Midienites . As we travel along we will arrive at Jericho the oldest city in the world , we will visit the Tel , view Mt. Temptation and the Elisha Spring .On our way out of the city we will stop by the Sycamore Tree before coming to our lodging for the evening in Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem .
Day 6: Jerusalem Mon. 15 Oct 2018
Around Jerusalem, Bible Times, Garden Tomb
This morning we enter the Old City through Stephen's Gate and visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus cured a cripple. We move on to the Judgment Hall of Pilate, hear of those who conspired against Him and are reminded of His brutal beating and humiliation. While walking along the Via Dolorosa, we are reminded of His way of suffering, view the Church of the Sepulcher before we arrive at the climax of our tour - the Garden Tomb. Your faith, that blessed hope and communion with Christ, will take on a tremendous new meaning today. In the afternoon we will drive to nearby Bethlehem to visit the site of the Nativity of Christ and the Shepherds fields east of Bethlehem. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem
Day 7: Jerusalem Tue. 16 Oct 2018
Begin touring with a panoramic view of the city, Mount Moriah and the Dome of the Rock from atop the Mount of Olives and then the Garden of Gethsemane. How many have wished to be whisked back in time to get a glimpse of our Lord or hear His voice if only for a moment. To walk between the ancient olive trees, read the scriptures of Jesus' prayer and take time for personal reflection is important here. Next we visit the house of Caiaphas where Jesus was in custody , from here to Mount Zion to visit the "Upper Room" where the disciple whom Jesus loved laid his head on His breast and where later Thomas cried; "my Lord & my God." More here is the traditional tomb of King David! From here we will see the ancient Roman Cardo , Herodian Mansion and the Western Wall. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem.
Day 8: Jerusalem Wed. 17 Oct 2018
Masada, Dead Sea Scrolls, Ein Gedi
Our day begins with a cable car ride to the mountain top fortress of Masada. Here our guide will treat us to the history of the famous zealot stand. Afterwards we proceed to Ein Gedi, "Spring of the Goat," an oasis on the western shore of the Dead Sea. Because of its warm climate and abundant supply of water, the site developed a reputation for its fragrant plants and date palm groves. This is where King David hid from Saul, and where God defeated the enemies of the Israelites by praise and worship led by King Jehoshaphat. (1 Sam 23:29; 24 Song of Songs 1:14). Now we'll visit Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and take time to float on the Dead Sea Waters . We return to Jerusalem . Dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Jerusalem Thu. 18 Oct 2018
New City tour
Today is our last day in Israel , we will check out from our hotel .Our day will start with a visit to the Village of Ein Karem birth place of John the Baptist , later we will visit the Children's Exhibit of the Holocaust Museum Temple. Continue to the Israel museum to visit the Shrine of the Book housing the Dead sea scrolls followed by an educational visit of the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the era of Jesus Christ. From here to the Davidson center and the Southern Wall Excavations -This southern side of The Temple was the main entrance for the common folk, whereas the Priests and Levites had their own entrance from the higher, eastern side. Parts of the giant stairs, which led to the Temple Mount from the courtyard, have been unearthed. It is in this courtyard that Jesus likely drove out the vendors and money exchanges who were exploiting the people. It is also likely that this is where Peter stood and preached and where thousands were saved and baptized. Farewell dinner at Boulgourji and overnight Jerusalem .
Day 10: Departure Fri. 19 Oct 2018
This morning we will take a transfer to the airport. Our flight homeward brings us home with wonderful memories from the Trip of a Lifetime and with a greater understanding of the Word of God.
