The Herodian Mansion is a six-house complex on a slope facing the Temple Mount. The exhibit focuses on three houses, being the Western House, Middle Complex and Palatial Mansion. Preserved in the basement of a modern Jewish seminary—but entered separately—the geometrically patterned mosaic floors, still-vibrant frescoes, and costly glassware provide a peek into the life of the wealthy in the days of Herod and Jesus.
